To not have to pay dollars to Adobe via a subscription, to be free to make PDF's as needed and combine documents from other sources, has given me the ability to get my small financial business off of the ground without major capital investment for simple office and administrative needs. Great Product! Pros The UI is simple and easy to use. I can get my work done quickly without having a complicated system to learn. And I love the fact that I can pay up front and have it forever. Cons I haven't found a con yet. I would like to use it to get signatures, but I haven't yet, tried that feature. UPDF is vastly superior to Acrobat in every way, not just cost. The interface is clean, simple to use, super fast, and on Mac, in my opinion, just exceptional. Pros The speed is really good, but probably just because it's so simple to learn and use. Controls and tools are well laid out, and everything just works. Cons I would like an option to have it on more computers; 2 PC/Macs at a time is not enough. I work on Windows and Mac daily and routinely switch between Desktops and Laptops... The document editing process is simple and user-friendly, with a wide range of tools available to enhance productivity. Printing documents is convenient, with multiple formatting and output options to choose from, making it easy to meet different requirements. Cons There is no Thai font support available. I've not really found anything that would make me pick it over some other similarly priced ones. Pros It's an attractive piece of software and has a nice interface. Does a decent job with basic editing. Cons The biggest issues I've faced are very slow load times and the software signing me out frequently. Both are frustrating. Would love to see improvement on the existing functionality. Pros It has a lot of functionality which acrobat editor can do. What I like most is that a single license is allowed to be used in both desktop and mobile. I hope this doesn't change because if it does, I might just move away from this tool. Cons The OCR is a little weak. However the new potential of AI search might be good. Although I am not really happy with the subscription price. I hope eventually the pricing model of the AI can be broken down into different functionality. I honestly don't need all the AI functionality, only the search or summary function. There are other AI tools out there to do the same and more. Advice to UPDF is to focus on what it do best and target the right audience! The PDF to excel function is average as well. Other tools like PDF Extra can do a good job as well. An improvement on it might just change my mind! It has been a game-changer for me when it comes to working with PDFs. The ability to export to various formats like .docx, .ppt, .xlsx, etc. is just fantastic and has saved me so much time and hassle. I've tried out six different PDF reader/editor programs in the past, and UPDF definitely stands out as the best in terms of export options. The form creation feature is also top-notch. It's so easy to create and customize forms, and the end result looks professional and polished. Plus, the program runs smoothly and doesn't slow my system down, which is a huge plus.
